Biography of Minister Glowreeyah Braimah

Born on February 28th, Minister Glowreeyah Braimah is a multifaceted personality - a song writer, gospel music recording artiste, lawyer and founder of Zidata, a music creative and social impact hub for children and youths. As a social impact advocate, Minister Glowreeyah believes that people can rise above challenges and she declares this belief through her songs.

 

Minister Glowreeyah hails from Kogi State, Nigeria and currently resides in Lagos State. Growing up, she recounts her hardwork, efforts and patience which she doesn't regret today. She believes that the waiting phase is the most important part in every story of success. In her opinion, this is when true friends show themselves. You also become stronger and express your inner feelings. 

 

While she is grateful to God for giving her an opportunity to share her songs with the world, Minister Glowreeyah is known for her bright smile and kind music that touches people's hearts. In 2020, she featured her dad, Sir Moses Braimah, in "Stronger" and another simple love song titled, "Ufedo Ojo" written and sung in her native Igala language, and which is off her album, The Core.

Glowreeyah Braimah comes from a family with siblings who helped to shape her as a person. Her parents were extremely generous and kind, and they even could let complete strangers in and welcome them to their house. Once, they had a gentleman from Sri-Lanka live together with them for about two years. According to her, there was always music in their house, and this is how music became an essential part of her life. Her father could be playing the piano for hours after work, and her mother could play some French or folk music. This helped her to develop her music taste. She also connects many memories with her siblings – they used to do everything together. They organized entertainment shows at their house where they danced and sang songs. They also shared sad moments, like throwing funerals for their pets that passed away. Glowreeyah Braimah admits that growing alongside her siblings has taught her to love and commit unconditionally.

Glowreeyah has been in the music industry for many years. One of the notable moments was her performance at the gospel music concert "Experience 2013", which is the most known and celebrated annual show for gospel singers. She wrote scripts for the educational TV program for children, which is called "Sesame Square". She became famous when she released her debut album in 2014, called "The Expression", which she put her whole heart and soul into. Glowreeyah says that every song that she releases is supposed to represent a certain event in her life journey. For example, the hit song "Miracle Worker" was inspired by her little niece's comatose experience – she was in the hospital in America for three weeks, which was a huge shock for the family.

The song "Covenant Keeper" was influenced by the concept of facing a large family issue, for example losing someone close in a plane crash, being rejected, overcoming an emotionally draining relationship, etc. Glowreeyah Braimah is sure that the album "The Expression" is certainly a huge expression of herself and the evidence of her sacrifice and worship of God.

Minister Glowreeyah Braimah works with well-known gospel producers. For example, the single "Covenant Keeper" was produced by GospelOnDaBeatz, who has worked with many gospel singers.

Minister Glowreeyah Braimah has always been a strong believer in God. She once recalled her own experience of meeting Jesus, which happened when one of her family dogs that never barked miraculously gained its voice and started barking. When she went out to have a look, the dog rubbed his body against her, and she says that she clearly heard God's voice, promising to never leave her. Glowreeyah is certain that God loves every person, and uses her gospel songs to express this.

Glowreeyah confessed that music was the one thing that always helps her get through the hardest time. She had a lot of heartbreaking and scary situations and has dealt with the loss of a friend. In these difficult moments, she reached out to music, and it always worked as a balm on her soul. Music made her pain easier to cope with, and she considers it to be the greatest gift God ever sent to people.

Glowreeyah Braimah is also an active organizer of various charity campaigns and events. For example, she founded The Starbeam Foundation, which focuses on helping children, youngsters, physically challenged people, and elderly ones who are in need. She was involved in a campaign called "Random Acts of Care and Kindness", and she also often performs with public speeches at the forums for young women. She has a great heart full of love, which she is eager to share with other people.
