Let Your Trust Be in God Alone: Gospel Today Devotional - 1st January, 2023

Praise and glory be to God who saw us through the year before, that is, 2022. Even though so many things happened, he still proved himself faithful. It is my prayer that this year brings you and me into a more intimate relationship with God our Father. Amen.

Let Your Trust Be in God Alone: Gospel Today Devotional - 1st January, 2023

That which seems to be a burden in my heart is the issue of who we would look to for help in this new year. Are we going to rely on men? Or would we put our trust in God?

"So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me" ( Hebrews 13:6).

It is my sincere desire that each one of us may boldly say in the year 2023 that the Lord is my helper. That while we go through the new year, we may look to no other but to Jesus alone who indeed is our help alone.

It's possible to be tempted to put trust in man as you did in the previous year, but the question is this, aren't you tired of being disappointed? Why not begin the new year with this passage of scripture, trusting in God to the uttermost such that you say with all boldness that he alone is your helper?

As a result, you will not fear what men shall do unto you. They may refuse to keep their promises, and they may persecute you, but it all doesn't matter. If you will put your trust in God, he would show up for you, and nothing done to you by men will take you by surprise because God will be a helper to you. May we think deeply about these things. Amen.

Thought for the Day: If your trust is in God alone, you will not fear what men will do to you. This is because God unlike men will always show up for you.
