Biography of Apostle Olaito Samson Prayer

Born on 2nd April, Apostle Olaito Samson Prayer is a Nigerian minister, business strategist, and investor based in Ile-Ife, Osun State, and the founder of Prayer Power Ministries. Following a series of surgeries and a dramatic healing testimony in 2015, he has taught the Word of Faith as inspired by the late Reverend Kenneth Hagin, with a focus on faith, prayer, and divine healing.

Apostle Olaito Samson Prayer describes his calling as a divine mandate to reach the world for Christ through the Word of Faith, and to help believers reclaim their standing in Christ through the teaching of God's Word. He is a devoted follower of the late Reverend Kenneth Hagin's Word of Faith teachings, and has built his own ministry around similar themes of faith, excellence, and spiritual authority.

He is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and works as a business strategist and investor, alongside his ministry work, based in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Early Life and Background

Apostle Samson was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, and was saved at around six years old. He was raised in the Baptist tradition, attending Adelemo Baptist Church in Sango before later worshipping at Praise Baptist Church, Ota, Ogun State, following his family's relocation to Sango-Ota around 2001.

Healing Testimony and Call to Ministry

Apostle Samson's ministry is rooted in a personal healing testimony. He underwent surgery for hydrocelectomy-related complications on three separate occasions, with his condition worsening after the first operation to the point of collapse and coma, a moment his parents feared he would not survive.

Ahead of a fourth planned surgery in July 2015, he says he encountered Mark 11:22–24, which speaks of having faith in God and receiving what is asked for in prayer without doubting. He credits this passage with shifting his understanding of healing as something already available to him rather than something to wait for, and he was healed in the process of that fourth operation. This experience became the foundation of his teaching ministry on faith and healing, which he has carried out since 2015.

He also recounts an earlier healing before his own illness: as a younger man, he prayed for a boy who had never walked due to paralysis, and says the boy received instant healing - an account he presents as his first personal experience of the miraculous.
