5 Ways to Manifest The Glory And Majestic Splendor Of God

The magnificence of God's nature and character is his glory and majestic splendor. It is the majesty of his being that is beyond comprehension . It is the radiance and grandeur of his presence that fills the universe. Psalm 19:1 says, " The heavens declare the glory of God ; and the firmament showeth his handy work ". God's glory is all of God on display. We cannot fully understand it, but we can seek to glorify and honor him.

The supreme power of God over everything explains his majestic splendor . God has no rival and he is subject to no other power .

Psalm 104:1-2 says, " Bless the lord, oh my soul , I lord my God , you are very great : you are clothed with honor and majesty , who cover yourself with light as with a garment , who stretches out the heavens like a curtain ".

There are several places in the bible that God manifested his glory and his majestic splendor;

1.The burning bush that Moses saw in Exodus 3.

 The bush was burning but it was not consumed . Moses was tending his flock when he saw this burning bush . As he drew closer, God told him to take off his sandals because the ground he was standing on was holy and also that he had chosen him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt . The burning bush that was not consumed is a manifestation of God's glory and majestic splendor.

2. The parting of the Red Sea in Exodus 14.

The Israelites were trapped between the Egyptian armies and the Red Sea. They were so frightened and thought that they wouldn't make it out alive. But God told Moses to raise his rod over the water, when he did this, the Sea parted into two equal parts and the Israelites were abled to walk through unarmed. This shows the manifestation of God's glory.

3. The transfiguration of Jesus in Matthew 17.

Jesus took Peter, James and John up a mountain . While they were there, Jesus transfigured before them. His face shine like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light . This was a sign of God's glory and power , and it confirmed that Jesus was the son of God.

4. The day of the Pentecost in Acts 2

The holy spirit came down upon the disciples and they began to speak in tongues . The people who witnessed this were amazed . This displayed the glory of God and also it was a sign that the holy spirit had empowered the disciples to spread the gospel all of the world.

5. The walls of Jericho falling down in Joshua 6.

The Israelites were facing a strong city with thick and high walls . But God told them to march around the city and when they did this , the walls of Jericho fell down flat and God was glorified.

Here is a few ways to manifest the glory and majestic splendor of God in our lives;

1. Obedience to God

God can manifest through us when we follow his leading, although this may appear tasking and challenging at times but it is a way for God to be glorified in our lives. The Israelites obeyed God's command by dancing round the city and then the walls of Jericho fell to the ground. When we are obedient to God , our lives become a living testimony to his glory . Living in obedience to God in all things , even the material things , is a great way to manifest his majestic splendor in our lives . Obedience is an important part of a Christian's relationship with God.

2. Show appreciation by giving thanks to God

When you enter into thanksgiving and praise, you invite God's glory and his presence to fill your life. Psalm 100: 4-5 says, " Enter his gates with thanksgiving ,and his courts with praise ! Give thanks to him; bless his name ! For the lord is good ; his steadfast love endures forever , and his faithfulness to all generation ". By giving thanks, you are acknowledging that God is worthy and this manifest his majestic splendor. Everything that we have comes not because of us but from God. No matter what the circumstance may be, there something to be grateful for.

3. Seek a life that reflects God's character

God is loving, patient, kind humble, righteous etc. However you can choose to imbibe this nature of God . As christians, we are called to represent God in all our actions , our thoughts and words so that others can see the love, kindness that he has brought into our lives..

Reflecting God's character shows that you are living by his example and that you choose to be like him. This also shows the world how committed you are to living a life that honors and glorifies God . It is a powerful witness to those around you.

Matthew 5:16 says, " In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven ".

4. Use your gifts and talents to the glory of God

Consider the things you love to do and the things that you are good at and ask God how you can use these gifts and talents to serve him and to bless others. If you do not use the talents God had given to you, other people get cheated. The way you bring glory to God is by using your talents .God is glorified when you use your gifts and talents to serve others .Peter wrote a letter to the early church encouraging the believers to preserve in the face of persecution and to also use the gifts to serve one another. He reminds them that they are stewards of God's grace meaning that they are responsible for using the gifts they have been given in a way that honors God . I Peter 4:10 says, " Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others , as faithful stewards of God's grace in it's various forms ".

5. Trust God and pray

Trusting God and praying increases our dependence on him. When we trust God and pray, we are opening ourselves up to the work of the holy spirit. As we trust in God, the holy spirit can work in us to produce spiritual fruits such as love, joy, peace patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness , gentleness and self-control. You can also pray to God to let his glory manifest in all that you do. Trust in God is faith in him and being strong in faith is giving glory to God by being fully persuaded that he is able to do what he promised . Prayers in form of worship also glorifies God.

God's glory is his incomparable greatness and his awe-inspiring dignity. As christians, we should choose to manifest this glory so that our lives will transform for the best. We must be willing to sacrifice our own desires to follow God's leading . When we manifest God's glory, there is a deep sense of fulfilment within us. God is glorified when we seek him above everything else . When we seek his kingdom first and make his will our highest priority , we are living a life that brings him glory . May we all seek to live a life that honors God and brings him glory and praise.
