Christian Poetry: Is there a Space for me?

You, a physician - vast in knowledge, rich in competence, and abundant in compassion. While you care for men is there a space for me?

You, a poet - in brevity of words and rhythm of letters, a message is passed. In the skillfulness of your hands, is there a space for me?

You, a student - a mountain of responsibility you desire a shield from. In your quest for freedom, is there a space for me?

You, a preacher - many things to many people. While you shoulder needs, is there a space for me?

You, a mother - with womb that bear, breast to be sucked and a praying heart. In the love for the seeds, is there a space for me?

You, a groom-to-be - an aura of peace you have when you are with her, your bride-to-be. In that love you share, is there a space for me?

You, a son - a seat of privilege alongside responsibilities. In that right of yours, is there a space for me?

You, who profess me to be your Lord, beyond the space in your heart, is there a space for me in your hands?
