Christian Poetry: Had I Known

Had I known that Father is an emperor, that of the universe, my conduct would be that of a royal daughter.

Had I known that Father's first seed is the prince of peace, I would have cherished that virtue - following peace with all men, including the impossible ones.

Had I known that Father's spirit is the spirit of truth, ready to guide me into all truth, I would not have chased fact.

Now I know; my Father is of royalty; His first son is of peace; and His spirit is truth, so I would do better; a royal daughter with peace guided into all truth.
