Understanding Church Leadership
If the leaders would get things right, the church will get it right. Jesus did not talk to the disciples the way he spoke to the church. John 6:39-40, 1st Timothy 2:4
Your partnership with God has an eternal implication 1st Timothy 4:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, Isaiah 62:11. The simplicity of the new life in Christ is one reasonwhy some people will not be saved. This is because they wll ask questions referring to the evils they have done in the past. Phillippians 1:20-22, Acts 20:23-24
I am God’s workmanship. If God is a tailor, I am the fabric 1st Corinthians 3:1, Philippians 3:14
Since Im God’s workmanship, I must allow him carry out hiss work in my life. It is not what you do that makes it pleasing to God, but whom you are.
Your course and your ministry are two things put before you in life. If you put your ministry over your course, you’re on your own. Paul says “I have finished my course…” Spiritual maturity is not in the gifts.
The fruit of your labour in Christ is who you have become – Learn the ways of the Lord and not just His acts. Leadership will be easy if your gaze is on a race that you must finish. 2nd Timothy 4:7, Matthew 7:22
Ephesians 4:7-8 – The gift of Christ
Your life is bigger than the ministry.
Haggai 2:6-9, Proverbs 11:30, John 14:12
A Church is meant to be a place of making and breaking. Surrender yourself to be made. It should be a place to activate your giftings and graces. It should also be a preparation for where God is taking you to.
