Technology: An Advantage to Christian Growth and Outreach

'The verse 'The earth is the Lord’s and its fullness thereof' is well-known among Christians, but its deep meaning might not always sink in. Essentially, it declares that everything, from the vast cosmos to the smallest innovation, belongs to God. This includes technology, which is essentially humanity's creative expression.

Now, technology is a double-edged sword. It has its virtues and vices. But when wielded wisely, its potential for good is staggering. Think about it: technology enables us to connect instantly with people across the globe, making it an invaluable tool for spreading God's love and teachings to a wide audience.

So, how do we leverage technology for the greater good as Christians?

First, we can use it to deepen our own faith and spiritual growth. From Bible study apps to meditation aids, technology offers an array of resources to enrich our personal relationship with God.

Secondly, we can harness technology to uplift others spiritually. Whether it's through sharing inspirational content on social media or using platforms like podcasting to reach out to those seeking guidance, technology empowers us to be beacons of light in a digital world.

To further deal with this subject, I will be talking about Apps for Personal Edification and Apps for Edifying others, and in between, social as a tool for both of them

Apps for Personal Edification
  • Bible Study Applications
Technology is beautiful, and having a Bible on the go is one of the greatest things to happen in our world today. Just as information and everything else are out there, the Bible can be accessed easily too.

Bible applications are important in your journey as a Christian, as you can search the scriptures with them, and with the applications below, you can delve deeper into the word of God.

With these bibles, you can have multiple translations, devotionals, audio bible and even a routine for your bible reading and devotionals. What is nice is that you can even track your progress.

These bibles are mostly known for verses of the day, but they are way more than that, as everyone needs a devotional. We can’t be sustained by the verse of the day; the way to grow in faith is to search the scripture and further investigate with it and we can do this by reading or listening to devotionals. You can’t keep drinking milk; it is time to eat meat since we are no longer babes.

Hebrews 5:12-14 (NIV) "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness since he is a child.

Chosen

This is an app that airs the chosen show. This show talks about the life of Jesus, and it is good to show your children. You know, visuals are much more consumed with rapt attention than pure text.

Next, I will discuss how these applications, along with other digital tools, can be used to edify others and how social media can serve as a platform for personal growth and the edification of others.
