On this day in Christian History, The Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRC-N) was formally established during its inaugural meeting in Ibi. Originally named "Ekklisiyar Kristi a Sudan (EKAS) Lardin Benue," meaning "The Church of Christ in Sudan, Benue region," the church emerged from the missionary efforts of the Sudan United Mission (SUM) and later received support from the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA). This foundation marked a significant milestone in the growth of Reformed Christianity within Nigeria.
