Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, marked her 78th birthday with a special 7.8-kilometre prayer walk, drawing a large turnout of participants who gathered to celebrate her life and enduring impact on the Christian community.
The commemorative prayer walk, organised in her honour, was described by organisers as a successful and spiritually uplifting event, with believers joining together in prayers and thanksgiving.
Sharing highlights from the exercise, the organisers via the RCCG PR Official Social Media Pages, expressed gratitude to God for the overwhelming participation and the smooth conduct of the walk.
“The 7.8 km prayer walk in honour of our mother in the Lord, Pastor Folu Adeboye, was a huge success. We thank God for the large turnout and how the prayer walk went,” the organisers said in a statement.
They also paid tribute to Mummy G.O’s decades of faithful service and influence, describing her as a tremendous blessing to countless lives through her ministry, mentorship and commitment to advancing God’s Kingdom.
“We’re grateful to God for the life of Mummy G.O. She has been a tremendous blessing to us. God be praised. May His Name be highly exalted,” the statement added.
Widely known as “Mummy G.O.”, Pastor Folu Adeboye has served alongside her husband for decades, playing a significant role in the growth of the Redeemed Christian Church of God through women’s ministry, family life initiatives, missions and pastoral care.
The 7.8km prayer walk formed part of activities commemorating her 78th birthday, as members of the RCCG and well-wishers celebrated her legacy of faith, service and leadership in the body of Christ.
