5 Things You Should Know about Following God's Plans For Your Life

1. Be grounded in your identity

Find out who you are supposed to be from the word and not from the world. Radicality in carrying out God's plan for your life is sponsored by a full knowledge of your identity. A proper revelation of Christ leads you to a proper revelation of who you truly are! Galatians 5:1 says, "In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off]." It means you are free indeed and you have a right to use all things on earth without feeling inferior, enslaved or guilty.

2. Set your heart on things that are above

Pay attention to things of the Spirit, give priority to them. Until you experience the word of God in the best form in your life, you have to stay and keep digging in. Matthew 6:33 buttresses that; "But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ([aa] His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [ab]taken together will be given you besides." Wealth, accolades, awards, good health and every other good thing you can think of follows a man who places the will of God first.

3. Prayers and the Leading of the Spirit are important

Power is made available in the place of prayers. As believers, we must never make a decision so quickly without praying about it. However, this does not sponsor idleness, the balance there is that until you are sure of what God wants you to do, keep doing what you are doing at the moment and do it with all diligence and intensity. Do not just dabble into new waters before asking the Holy Spirit first so as not to be drowned. Spend time praying and be ready to receive instructions from the man God has placed over you. Isaiah 44:26 says, "[The Lord] Who confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers, Who says of Jerusalem, She shall [again] be inhabited, and of the cities of Judah, They shall [again] be built, and I will raise up their ruins," God confirms the words of his servants, so be open to receive always.

4. Consecration to principles

Be consecrated to the principles of the word. Don't compromise. Make a lifestyle of what the word of God says. You are not to have any other principle outside God's word. Colossians 4:6, "Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you]." It's an instruction-not optional at all!

5. Love and Honour people

Have honour and love for people irrespective of age, race, ethnicity or religion. This is to prevent strife and all sorts of evil works that might hinder you from following God's will for your life.
