Me and you, broken pieces
And yet hewn from the same Cornerstone.
When I come close and experience your brokenness that shows, not a subdued heart, but a fallen flesh,
I shrink back in fear, hurt and unshared conversations.
As I begin to back away, I am suddenly reminded:
_Deep calleth unto deep_
The same muddied hands that formed you formed me too
Beneath all that mortar is the Spirit of the One that formed us both,
though fallen, me and you are being steadied by the same hands
And as we behold Him, drawing from the same deep, we are changed from glory to glory.
So, I turn back,
Extending again the same grace to you that we both received
