Christian Poetry: Longing for You

Giving my life to you,
The best decision of my life.
I grew in you, meditated
In your word, addicted.

Fellowshipped in your presence,
Felt your love and warmth,
In the midst of your people.
But couldn't be satisfied.

Drank daily from your word,
Presevere in prayer
Until you told me
"Long for me"

I long for you,
After you and all of you,
My heart thirsts,
Cries and yearns
Your word and presence.

You Lord I yearn and long for.
