Pastor Ayo Ajani is the Global Senior Pastor of Petra Christian Centre Churches, and the founder of TribePetra World Inc, also known as, Ayo Ajani Ministries International.
For over two decades, his teaching, healing, and supernatural ministry have impacted millions of lives worldwide.
Born on 9th July into a muslim background, Pastor Ayo Ajani got saved at a young age. Committing to reading several chapters of the bible daily rapidly built up his faith and he began teaching, preaching, and ministering the gift of the Holy Spirit to new believers from the age of nine (9) under the watchful eyes of his first spiritual father, Pastor Israel Ojapa of blessed memory.
As a medical student at the University of Lagos, he spent countless hours at the University Chapel grounds in prayer and intercession. During one of those prayer sessions, the Lord spoke expressly to him, saying “If I can make you a man of prayer, I have made you a success.” This experience changed his life with Pastor Ayo making a decision to commit to a lifestyle marked by constant prayer and fastings.
His call to ministry happened while on a three-day fast at the Redemption Camp grounds. While reading Pa Kenneth Hagin’s book “Following God’s Plan for Your Life”, he was struck by the story of a missionary who thought God wanted to send him as a missionary to China while all God wanted was for him to submit to God’s plans and purposes for the missionary’s life. In that moment, Ayo Ajani submitted to the Lord, reiterating his desire to follow God’s will fully. This was the beginning of Petra Christian Centre, a church dedicated to building Jesus communities globally with a network of church campuses in Nigerian states, Ghana, and the United Kingdom.
Pastor Ayo is known for his unique ability to communicate God's word in a simple, practical, yet powerful way. He is the convener of city-wide meetings
such as Rain Conference, Kindle, and The Festival Convention, where the Word of God is taught, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are demonstrated. These meetings are characterized by deep revelation from the word of God, numerous bodily healings, salvations recorded, and a tangible presence of God.
The spiritual fathers whose lives and ministries have impacted Pastor Ayo Ajani include Bishop (Dr.) David Oyedepo, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Bro Kenneth Hagin, and Bro Kenneth Copeland amongst several others.
He is the author of several books, including Abba Father; The Presence of Jesus is Everything; and It's Time to Grow Up.
Pastor Ayo is also the president of Petra Television Network, a 24-hour Christian satellite station that takes the message of the Gospel into about a hundred million homes across Africa and Europe.
His ministry, Ayo Ajani Ministries International, is responsible for the yearly Sons, Partners & Proteges Conference (SPPC): a platform for nurturing his Sons,
Partners, and Proteges in ministry; and Look & Live: a monthly healing & miracle service tasked with taking God's healing power to the nations.
Pastor Ayo is happily married to his wife and best friend, Pastor Adeola Ajani, and they have three children.
