According to the English dictionary, a source means the person or thing from which something comes or is acquired.

Don't Forget Your Source

How can one forget his/her source?

When people are going through life's trials and tribulations, it is easy for them to stay focused on God.

They fast, pray, make vows, and commit to participating in all church activities. However,as soon as God grants their requests and prospers them, they come up with "very good" reasons why they no longer have time for God's things. In Deuteronomy 6:12, God’s word instructs is to “beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage”.

It is dangerous to lose track of your source. When you forget your source, you gradually lose things given to you, you loose your history of yourself and everything that concerns you.

Rather than allowing your accomplishments in life to pull you away from God, allow them to draw you closer to Him as you acknowledge His greatness and faithfulness to you.

Do not forget your starting point and source.
