Worship the Lord

Worship is honouring God as the Creator of all things and the Perfect Manager of the whole universe – the only one worthy of all praise. It is also a weapon to fight and gain sweatless and resounding victory in the battle of life. 

It is also a key that opens the door to God’s presence and inexhaustible blessings.

We must learn how to worship Him and prioritize it this year.

How to Worship God Acceptably

There are many ways we can worship God in spirit and truth and acceptable to him. However, it is important to note that in every way, we must ensure that we worship the Lord in spirit and truth (John 4:23). The various ways to worship God in an acceptable manner include:

1. Through the Bible (John 4:23)

2. Prayer (Psalm 141:2)

3. Thanksgiving (Hebrew 13:15)

4. Worship (Psalm 104:33)

5. Remembrance (Psalm 103:2)

6. Your testimony and witnessing (Acts 1:8, Psalm 150:2)

7. Serving others (Mark 10:44-45, 1 Peter 4:10)

8. Body expression such as lifting hands (Psalm 141:2), clapping hands (Psalm 47:1), bowing down (Psalm 95:6), dancing (Psalm 149:3)

9. Glorify God with our bodies (Romans 12:1)

10. Confession of sins (1 John 1:9)

11. Worship God through your words 

Colossians 3:17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him”

12. Memorization of the Bible 

Proverbs 3:1 “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments”

13. Obedience 

John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commandments”

14. Giving 

2 Corinthians 9:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver”

15. Fellowship and serving the church community 

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord”

16. Through Work 

Colossians 3:23-24 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ”

17. Your life 

1 Corinthians 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God”

18. Sharing your faith 

1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”

19. Using your gifts and talents 

Exodus 35:35 “Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work”

20. Humility 

James 4:10 “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up”

21. Joy 

Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice”
