July 17, 1504

On this day, Henry Bullinger ,a Swiss reformer and theologian was born. Bullinger succeeded Ulrich Zwingli as the chief pastor in Zurich and played a significant role in the Protestant Reformation.

July 18, 1804

On this day, Dan Beach Bradley, an American missionary and physician was born. Bradley is known for his work in Thailand, where he introduced Western medicine and printing.

18th July, 1834

On this day, Clara Swain, recognized as the first female physician missionary was born.  Swain served in India, providing medical care and advancing women's healthcare.

18th July, 1845

On this day Arthur Henderson Smith, an American missionary and author was born. Smith served in China and wrote extensively about Chinese culture and society.

July 18, 1894

On this day in Christian History, Howard S. McDonald, an American academic and missionary was born. McDonald contributed to educational initiatives within the Christian community.

July 18, 1961

On this day Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba was born. He is the current Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). Before his appointment as Primate in 2020, he served as the Bishop of Gombe and later as the Archbishop of the Province of Jos.

July 18, 1988

On this day, Edd Branson, a Zimbabwean charismatic Christian leader, philanthropist, and entrepreneur was born.  Branson founded Jesus Generation International Ministries and has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts.
