Oluwasegun Oyeyemi was born on 5th June 1988, hailing from Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, though he made his home in Ibadan. He attended the Redeemers High School for his secondary education and upon his graduation in 2004, he proceeded to study at Bowen University, Iwo, a campus that shaped his early adult years and where the foundations of both his professional and creative life began to take form.
Professional Career & Ministry
Oluwasegun was a man who worked with his hands and his mind. He built a career as a self-employed engineer, with a particular specialism in solar energy. He served as a Solar Installation Manager at Cross River Water Board between November 2011 and January 2013, before going on to work as a solar consultant managing solar water pump installation in Cross River from February 2012. From September 2014, he continued building his independent engineering practice, applying his technical skill to renewable energy solutions at a time when solar power was still a relatively new and specialised field in Nigeria.
He was, in every sense, a builder - a man who solved practical problems for a living, brought light and water to communities through his solar work, and carried that same diligence into everything else he touched.
Beyond engineering, Oluwasegun Oyeyemi carried a creative gift that found expression on screen. He featured in Gospel movie productions including Fiwajomi, Abattoir, Marriage Committee, and Olasupo amongst others, bringing the same warmth, presence, and authenticity that those who knew him personally describe, into characters audiences came to know him by.
Marriage and Family
On 2nd April 2020, Oluwasegun married a union that became one of the central joys of his life. Those who knew the couple speak of a marriage built on partnership and shared faith, and his public identification as "A Father, A Husband, A Child of God" reflected the order of priority he held closest to his heart.
He leaves behind his wife, his children, and a wider family who continue to carry his memory forward
