Renowned Christian leader, author, and businesswoman Apostle Folorunso Alakija marked her 75th birthday with a faith-filled thanksgiving service, unveiling six new books centred on Christian living, marriage, leadership, and purposeful service. The celebration reflected her lifelong commitment to ministry, discipleship, and family values.
Held at her residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, the thanksgiving gathering brought together family members, church leaders, friends, and notable personalities for a time of worship, prayer, and gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the years.
The service featured spirited praise and worship led by gospel saxophonist Beejay Sax, while gospel ministers Dare Justified, Chigozie Wisdom, and Tosin Bee ministered in music. Pastor Tolu Odukoya and Pastor J.T. Kalejaye also participated in the service, with Kalejaye delivering a message on the importance of living a life of continual praise to God.

A major highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of six new publications, which Apostle Alakija said were inspired by her desire to share biblical wisdom and practical lessons drawn from her journey of faith, marriage, leadership, and service. The books explore themes including Christian relationships, spiritual growth, prayer, and building families founded on God’s principles.
Speaking during the thanksgiving, Alakija expressed deep gratitude to God for His preservation, mercy, and unwavering faithfulness throughout her life. She encouraged believers to remain steadfast in their faith and continue trusting God in every season.
Among those in attendance were former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Central Bank Governor Olayemi Cardoso, family members, ministry associates, and other distinguished guests who joined in celebrating a woman widely recognised for her contributions to business, philanthropy, and Christian ministry.
