The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has announced a series of free medical and humanitarian outreaches, including surgeries, as part of activities leading up to the August edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) in Ota, Ogun State.
The five-day crusade is scheduled to hold from August 26 to 30, 2026, at the Anglican Church Grammar School, Abebi, Ota, under the theme “Total Transformation Through Christ.”
The announcement was made by Pastor Joseph Fasanmi, Deeper Life Bible Church Overseer for Ogun West, during a press conference in Ota.
According to Fasanmi, the crusade is being organised with the support of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Ogun West.
He described the programme as an opportunity for spiritual renewal and transformation, stressing that the crusade would seek to address the spiritual, moral and social challenges confronting individuals, families and communities.
Free surgeries, medical consultations
A member of the organising committee, Dr Olalekan Sokan, said the GCK programme would be accompanied by several free medical and humanitarian interventions through Deeper Life’s Medical Missions and Prison Outreach.
He said a maternal and child health outreach would take place on August 23 at the Landmark Executive Multipurpose Hall on Joju Road, Ota.
Additional medical outreaches are scheduled for August 24 at St. Michael’s Junior School, Ota, and August 25 at the Deeper Life Regional Headquarters in Ntabo, Ijoko, Ota.
The medical programme will include free general surgeries, gynaecological, ophthalmological and dental consultations, treatment and care, alongside other humanitarian interventions.
The free surgeries are scheduled for August 24 and 25 at the State Hospital, Ota, and General Hospital, Idiroko, in Ipokia Local Government Area.
According to Sokan, medical specialists will perform the surgeries, while prospective beneficiaries were scheduled to undergo pre-surgical screening between August 12 and 14.
The screening centres include Anglican Church Grammar School, Ota, and Gateway African Church, Ikolaje, Idiroko.
Prison outreach also planned
Deeper Life also plans a prison outreach on August 24 and 25 as part of the humanitarian activities surrounding the crusade.
Sokan said the outreach would provide inmates with spiritual encouragement, humanitarian assistance and messages of hope.
He explained that the medical and humanitarian initiatives were intended to reflect the ministry of Jesus Christ, which, according to him, addressed people’s spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs.
Youth and Christian programmes
Beyond the main crusade, the August GCK programme will feature an All Believers’ Conference on August 27 and 28 at Christian Pentecostal Mission, Ota.
The conference will have the theme “Perfect Deliverance in a Shifting World” and is expected to focus on strengthening Christians for victorious living.
An Impact Academy for Youth, themed “Transformed to Break Limits,” will also be held at the crusade venue.
The youth-focused programme is designed to equip young people with values and principles aimed at helping them overcome limitations and fulfil their potential.
Kumuyi to headline five-day crusade
The Global Crusade with Kumuyi will be led by Deeper Life General Superintendent and GCK Convener, Pastor William Kumuyi.
The organisers said the crusade is open to people from different religious, social and political backgrounds.
Fasanmi urged residents of Ogun West to attend with their families, friends and neighbours, while also calling on traditional rulers, government officials, educational institutions, market associations, transport unions, artisans, youth and women’s organisations and other community stakeholders to help mobilise residents.
He also assured participants that adequate arrangements had been made to ensure that the various programmes are conducted peacefully and orderly.
The Ogun West edition of the GCK is therefore expected to combine evangelism, medical intervention, humanitarian assistance, youth empowerment and Christian teaching, with the organisers describing the overall programme as an opportunity for spiritual and social transformation in the region.
