Greatman Takit has given fans something to talk about with the release of the official video for his song “ADML”, and perhaps the biggest surprise is the name behind the camera, an acclaimed Nigerian music video director TG Omori.
Released on Friday, September 4, the visual has quickly drawn attention not only for its storyline and star-studded cast, but also for the unexpected pairing of the Afrogospel singer with a director best known for some of the biggest and most visually ambitious music videos in Nigeria's mainstream music scene.
For many viewers, the announcement itself was enough to raise eyebrows.
Greatman Takit and TG Omori?
It was an unlikely combination and that was exactly what made the release worth anticipating.
TG Omori Meets Afrogospel
Greatman Takit had already created curiosity around the project when he announced that TG Omori would be directing the “ADML” visual.
Known professionally as the “Boy Director”, TG Omori has built a reputation for turning music videos into visual experiences, working with some of the biggest names in Nigerian music. His involvement therefore immediately raised expectations for what could be done with a gospel record.
And he did not approach “ADML” like an ordinary performance video.
Instead, the visual tells a story.
Greatman Takit plays an artist struggling to make a living by taking his artwork to the streets of Lagos. What begins as a picture of uncertainty takes an unexpected turn after he encounters a destiny helper.
Suddenly, the artist who was once selling his work in traffic finds himself in an exclusive auction surrounded by wealthy art collectors.
The contrast is striking.
The traffic represents the struggle.
The auction represents the breakthrough.
And the artwork becomes the link between both worlds.
From Traffic to the Auction Room
One of the video's strongest moments is the transformation of Greatman's character from an artist struggling to get people to notice his work to one whose artwork is now attracting serious attention.
It is a storyline that mirrors the central message of “ADML”, a song built around Greatman's testimony, gratitude and reflection on how far he has come.
But rather than simply showing the singer performing those lyrics, TG Omori gives the audience a character to follow.
The result is a visual story about opportunity, faith and unexpected elevation.
And there is a deliberate Nigerian identity running through it.
From the Lagos streets to the Yoruba cultural elements incorporated into the visual, the video remains rooted in a familiar environment even as the story moves into a world of wealth and exclusivity.
A Surprisingly Star-Studded Cast
Greatman Takit also assembled an impressive line-up for the project.
The video features Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, Pastor Emmanuel Iren, comedian Josh2Funny, Dr Foy and content creator Eric Gugua, among others.
Pastor Emmanuel Iren's appearance is particularly significant to the video's spiritual storyline.
In one scene, he prays over Greatman, while other sequences depict baptism and moments of spiritual reflection.
This gives the video two parallel stories: the visible transformation of an artist's circumstances and the spiritual journey behind it.
The message is therefore not simply “look at how successful I have become.”
It is closer to: “look at what God has brought me through.”
Why the TG Omori Choice Got People Talking
The decision to put a director of TG Omori's calibre behind an Afrogospel project is arguably one of the most interesting parts of the release.
TG Omori's visual language has long been associated with mainstream Afrobeats and pop culture, making his involvement in “ADML” an intriguing creative decision.
But the collaboration also challenges the assumption that gospel music visuals must follow one particular formula.
“ADML” looks like a music video, but it also feels like a short film.
There is a protagonist.
There is conflict.
There is an unexpected turning point.
And, ultimately, there is a resolution.
That cinematic approach may be one reason the video has generated so much curiosity since its release.
More Than Just a Music Video
“ADML” is the sixth track on Greatman Takit's 23-track debut album, Flames Of A Wildfire, which was released on July 24, 2026. The song's title is drawn from “Ademola”, part of the singer's name.
But with the release of the TG Omori-directed visual, the song has taken on a new identity.
What listeners previously experienced through sound can now be seen.
The struggle has a location.
The breakthrough has a room.
The faith has a face.
And the testimony has a storyline.
That is perhaps what makes the visual stand out.
Greatman Takit did not simply give fans another music video.
He gave them a story and then handed that story to one of Nigeria's most talked-about directors to bring it to life.
For an artist whose music sits at the intersection of Afrobeats, hip-hop and contemporary gospel, the decision feels fitting.
And for TG Omori, it is another reminder that his visual language can travel beyond the boundaries of mainstream Afrobeats.
In “ADML”, the two worlds meet.
And judging by the reaction to the collaboration, Greatman Takit may have found exactly the kind of director capable of making his testimony impossible to scroll past.
