Dirty Game: Mount Zion’s Boldest Story Yet

“Politics is a dirty game”—but what happens when faith steps boldly into its mud and mire?

Today, Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Nigeria’s trailblazer in Christian cinema, premieres Dirty Game, the gripping sequel to its 2023 release, Jailer, on YouTube. Directed by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, the film marks a profound and prophetic shift—not just in the ministry’s storytelling style, but in the entire landscape of faith-based filmmaking.

With Dirty Game, Mount Zion dares to tread where few Christian filmmakers have gone: the world of politics, where power, corruption, and spiritual forces collide and the stakes are high.

The story continues where Jailer left off, but this time it moves beyond literal prison walls into a more complex captivity—the shackles of compromise, injustice, and the invisible forces that influence leadership and governance.

“This one is not for the faint-hearted,” remarked one viewer in the trailer’s comment section. “The terrain of politics is messy. But we are called to bring light into the darkest corners."

For more than three decades, Mount Zion has been known for its spiritually rich movies rooted in evangelism, family values, and deliverance. From Agbara Nla to The Train, and the recent groundbreaking musical drama Undersiege, the ministry has created movies that not only entertain but disciple. With Dirty Game, however, the ministry turns its lens toward systems of power and the spiritual battles that rage within them.

“This is unprecedented,” noted another fan anticipating the release. “Mount Zion has always challenged darkness—but now they’re confronting institutional darkness: corruption in high places, political manipulation, and the spiritual implications of leadership.”

The Nigerian Christian film industry has long centered around stories of personal redemption and spiritual warfare, often steering clear of overt political themes. Dirty Game breaks that mold in a beautiful way.

Even before its online premiere, the film was met with high anticipation. Mount Zion hosted a physical premiere in Lagos on March 30, drawing crowds from across the region. The response was nothing short of powerful. Audience members left not just entertained, but deeply stirred.

Clips from the trailer have since gone viral, and the comment section is full of eager expectation: “Mount Zion just took it to another level." "This is warfare in a suit and tie.”

Dirty Game will be released in three chapters—on August 3rd, 10th, and 17th—exclusively on Damilola Mike-Bamiloye’s YouTube channel and FaithLift YouTube channel. With each chapter, viewers are being invited into more than a story. This is not just a movie but a definite reminder to go with God into any battle for leadership.
