Num.6.24 - The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
There is so much protection and blessing in God than we can ever imagine. Here, the prayer is first that God bless you and thereafter, keep you. This means that evil can come around when a man is only blessed and that God's keeping hand is necessary to save and protect at the time. By illustration, imagine that you give a child some food to eat and while he settles to eat, some chicken and goats come around to peck on the food. Being a child, he has little or nothing to do and if not careful, the animals may topple the food, making it a waste to the child and food for them. In the same manner, God's blessings for every believer comes with adequate protection. Little wonder why Psalm 23 says "He prepares a table before me, in the presence of my enemies"
Num.6.25 - The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee
When God's face shines upon a man, many ppsitive things are involved. One certain effect of God's face shining upon a man is extraordinary favour and help from God and even from men.
Num.6.26 - The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
As you go today, it is our prayer that God bless and keep you; make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May He give you peace on all sides and lift His countenance upon you too.
