What happens when you look up yourself in a mirror?
The mirror is an object of reflection that helps you see exactly who you are at the time, how you have grown overtime, and how you have advanced as far as every physical quality possessed by human beings is concerned. It is a measure of beauty, quality and expression.
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2nd Corinthians 3:18
In the same manner, believers in Christ should take up Jesus as the standard mirror, looking through Him to see who we are in Him. By doing this, we do not only understand our reflections, but we are exposed to a greater knowledge of our identity and who we are in Christ Jesus.
Also, looking up yourself by seeing Jesus as our standard mirror, we understand that our reflection should be Jesus. This also means that in everything we do and everywhere we go, our lives should live as Jesus because we are practical representatives of Him.
