Burning Altars by The Cross Blogger Abimbola

An altar is a place of worship and sacrifice. It is a mix of both worship and sacrifice because worship is an expression and so is sacrifice. An altar is more than a structure made to uphold either worship or sacrifice but rather an altar to me is a portal I call it the gateway between the physical and the spiritual.

A priest is called to minister on the altar not because the altar has no significance alone but our souls are the very flames of the altars, the state of the priest determines the state of the altar, holy and sanctified is the requirements of priesthood for the flames of the altar must be fueled by holiness.

The excellence and the soul of the altar is the flames, a priest and an altar is just a man and a structure without the flames of the altar to consume and burn the sacrifice on the altar otherwise the altar becomes just another groove that’s bears stale meat which is of no use!

What then can we call a burning altar, a burning altar is a life flaming for GOD, it is a life set apart offered up to GOD as a sacrifice, the flame of the altar of a believer is the excellency of the HOLYSPIRIT consuming him/her daily presenting him before the father a sweet smelling savor pleasing to the king of kings.

Leviticus 6:12
The fire on the altar shall be kept burning; it shall not [be allowed to] go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall arrange the burnt offering on it and offer the fat portions of the peace offerings up in smoke on it.

The ultimate altar was the cross on which the lamb was slain and the flaming fire that consumed the sacrifice was the very spirit of God that was released to us on the day of Pentecost and from that day our lives become the altar of the living GOD on which “self” is brought and sacrificed daily to the glory of the father.

The flames of the altar must never go out unless the sacrifice becomes stale and unholy of a terrible stench not fit for the father.

LIVES filled with the HOLYGHOST are the burning altars, burning up for GOD in holiness, fire of GOD  blazing! Calling us the priesthood that we truly are, chosen, redeemed, sanctified! Altars of sacrifice and worship, burning altars for eternity.
