Minister Esther Benyeogo is a popular Nigerian Gospel Singer. Esther Benyeogo is a winner of Voice of Nigeria Season 3 and God’s Children Great Talent Season 7. She was born on 15th September, 1997 in Ika North Local Government Area in Delta State, Nigeria.


Full Biography of Minister Esther Ebelechukwu Benyeogo

Minister Esther Benyeogo was raised in Ika North Local Government Area in Delta State by her parents Stella and her late father. She started singing at the age of 13 years.

Esther Benyeogo is the 6th child of her parents, she studied English and Literature at the University of Benin, in Edo state.

Moreso, her growing up was straight forward as if she knew her talent would make a way for her.

Thus, the 23 years old lady became famous at the age of 19 years after she won the God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT), worth of N250,000,000.

The GCGT is a biggest gospel talent show for children at the age of 5-20 to express themselves.


According to vanguard, she beat nine contested to win the grand finale of the talent show which was held at the Eko conventional hotel on 24th June 2017.

Moreover, that was the seventh edition as at that year. she went further to win the 2021 edition of The Voice nigeria. The voice nigeria is a talent show which centres in individuals singing their favorite songs.

As well, she is currently in the last 6 and finalist for the show.

Life

Esther was born on September 15, 1997, as the last of six children to the family of Dr. and Mrs. Kennedy Benyeogo from Ika North Local Government Area in Delta State, her late father was a medical doctor who passed on in 2010 while her mother is a retired school principal.[3] She grew up in Asaba, Delta state and studied English and Literature at the University of Benin.[4]

She started singing at the age of thirteen[5] as her style of singing is greatly influenced by Tasha Cobbs, Sinach, Yolanda Adams, Kierra Sheard, Kim Burrell, Nathaniel Bassey[6] and at fifteen she emerged as the first runner-up in the Next Big Teen talent competition organized by Christ Embassy.[7]

In 2017, at the age of nineteen, Esther emerged as the winner of the God's Children's Great Talent (GCGT) Season 7 beating the other nine finalists to win a 250 million Naira management contract, 10 million Naira cash, and a brand new Kia Rio. She then released her first EP named “Carry Me ” in 2020.[8]

In July 2021, after an 18-weeks long competition, she was announced as the winner of the Voice Nigeria reality TV series, ahead of five other finalists to receive a cash reward of 10 Million Naira, an SUV, and a recording contract from Universal Music Group.[9][10]
