Biography of Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo

Pastor Mildred Isioma Kingsley- Okonkwo (Nee Chijide) was born on 26th September to the family of Mr. Michael and Mrs. Patricia Chijide as the fifth of six children.

Pastor Mildred co-pastors David Christian Centre (DCC) with her husband, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo. Mama as she is fondly known by many of the congregants has a soft spot for young women and finds expression through numerous programmes for women.

According to her, her mother was a teacher and her father was a banker in Lagos. Their children thus have very involved and active grandparents. Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo also revealed that her parents were very particular about getting the best quality of education as her nursery and primary education was at Corona School Apapa. She then proceeded to Command Secondary School Ipaja Lagos for her secondary education and later attended the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife and University of Lagos (Unilag) for a first degree in English Arts. She also took a second degree in International Law and Diplomacy (MILD at the Obafemi Awolowo University. After that, she worked in the media (television production) and also worked a bit in customer service until she eventually settled into full time ministry with Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo.
 
 
Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo is also the convener of the Just Us Girls Conference, which is an annual gathering that unites thousands of women worldwide for a transformational experience—featuring inspiring messages, powerful discussions, uplifting worship, and deep fellowship.

The Just Us Girls Conference is hosted by the Just Us Girls Network and since Pastor Mildred founded the organization in 2008, the Just Us Girls Global Network (JUGGN) has expanded to 50+ countries with 15,000+ tribe members, impacting hundreds of thousands through ministries, conferences, and NGO partnerships.    The conference creates a space for women to grow, connect, and experience God’s love. Held in Nigeria, Kenya, and the UK, each year brings dynamic speakers, thought-provoking sessions, and life-changing moments, all centered around a God-inspired theme.
