You see as believers, many times when a word comes to us from the Lord, perhaps through the scripture or fellow believers in the body, we find it difficult to believe, because, by logical reasoning, it will be very impossible for it to be done. We sometimes or even most times live with this belief that some things are impossible with God, even though we have come to understand that nothing is impossible with him.
Mary was visited by the angel who told her that she was going to give birth to the Lord Jesus, and at the time, it looked practically impossible since she wasn't married yet, leaving her with the question, how? It is not ours to decipher the how, but to believe nonetheless. The scripture below explains better:
"And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord". (Luke 1:45)
After the encounter with the angel, Mary went to visit Elizabeth, the wife of Zechariah who had also conceived in her old age, which also at the time was a situation that looked impossible. It was as a result of this visitation that the statement was made by Elizabeth.
The focus for today is on the statement, and particularly how it applies to us as believers. When the angel had explained all to Mary, she didn't doubt and strongly aligned her mind and her belief to that which the angel had said, be it unto me according to thy word. That was it ( blessed is the one that believes because in it comes the performance of that which was spoken by the Lord).
The question to you and I today is this, of all that the Lord has said to us, of all that he is saying right now to us, and that which he will yet say to us, do we believe? Would we believe it? If only we can believe that with him nothing shall be impossible, there will be a performance of that which he has said, he is saying, and would say. Remember this as you go about your activities today, that blessed is the one who believes, and just like Mary, there will be a performance of that which was told you of the Lord. The Lord helps our unbelief. Amen.

To them who believe, blessed are they, and there shall be to them a performance of what the Lord has said. Do you believe?
