Christian Poetry: Matters of the Heart

A time Lucifer was humble

Until he dined with Pride

So he desired to be like Him.

A time the ten loved him

Until Envy stung them

And his fall they sought for.

A time the first honoured father

Until he lay with father's own

To defile his bed.

A time daughter stayed home

Until she desired to be like them 

And home she left.

A time Samson cherished purity

Until he wined with Lust

And the ladies' man he became.

A time when the forerunner was sure

Until Offence strangled him

"Should we look for another?"
