Biography of Minister Lara George


Lara George is a Nigerian music minister, songwriter, and recording artiste who was born on the 22nd of June 1978 to the family of Oluwole Bajomo in Lagos State, Nigeria. 

Growing up, she had her primary and secondary school education at Queen's College, Lagos State. She thereafter proceeded to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Lagos State University.

Minister Lara George started a musical career when she joined the Campus Fellowship Choir. During her days on campus, she was part of a music group called KUSH. Although this group is no more existing, they released a hit single titled "Let Us Live Together" which was a very famous song on campus. The group, KUSH (Kinetically Ushering Salvation into Hearts and Homes) consists of the popular TY Bello, Emem Iyang, Dapo Tormiro, and Lara George.

It was a group full of potential but came to a sudden end due to several reasons. Lara Geroge entered the Gospel music industry in full swing and released her debut album "Forever In My Heart" in 2008. A powerful single released by her "Ijoba Orun" won her several awards and recognitions. She has become a household name in the Gospel music industry.

She has ministered in various known events such as GreenBelt Festival UK (as part of the KUSH group), she performed alongside iconic Gospel artists like Micah Stampley, Ron Kenoly, Bebe, Cece Winans, and many others at the Xperience.

She was the first to be aired on BET International. She also serves as a judge on the music TV show Airtel Trace Music Star.

Minister Lara George is happily married to her heartthrob, Mr Gbenga George and they are blessed with two children – Tiaraoluwa and Adeoba. Her husband is a legal practitioner and music entrepreneur. They live in the US.
