God of Abraham!
To the father, He made Himself known,
that he would be one called out of many,
unto a land of unknown, the land of Promise.
God of Isaac!
Unto the son, a child of promise,
taught the ways of Him by the father,
that his seed would inherit the land.
God of Jacob!
An escape from death led to an encounter with life,
a wrestle with a Divine for a new name,
the beginning of the fulfillment.
I am that I am!
An unusual sight that gained attention of a busy man,
a conversation that led to responsibility,
that His own would taste freedom.
My Father!
When men failed,
with the knife of betrayal deeply piercing my soul,
my tears He wiped and placed me on His wings as an Eagle does to her Eaglet.
