5 Lessons From the Life of Nathan

The story of Nathan begins with his role as a prophet in King David's court. Nathan was a trusted advisor to King David and he played an important part in David's life. One day, Nathan was visited by God in a dream . God told him to confront king David about his sin with Bathsheba. This was a difficult task but Nathan was faithful to God and carried out his command. Nathan went to King David and told him a parable about a rich man who took a poor man's lamb . When David heard the story ,he was filled with anger and declared that the rich man be punished. Nathan then revealed that the rich man in the story was king David himself. Nathan explained that David's actions with Bathsheba was wrong, and that he needed to repent. This was a very difficult moment for King David ,but he repented and he was forgiven by God. Nathan's courage and wisdom in this situation are a great example for us today . After this event, Nathan still continued to serve as an advisor to King David. Later on, Prophet Nathan also supported Solomon's succession to the throne. 1. Nathan was faithful to God

Nathan's character and faithfulness in conveying the word of God ,no matter how negative the situation sometimes may have seemed . He fearlessly confronted David about his sins with Bathsheba and Uriah, emphasizing divine disapproval. Despite the challenging nature of his task , Nathan remained faithful to God's guidance . Additionally, Nathan played a vital role in Solomon's anointing as King, showcasing his commitment to fulfilling God's plan for the nation of Israel . 2. Nathan Corrected King David in humility
