How to Curb Laziness as a Believer

God is a rewarder of every man and for everything. He is not a fraudster and although He views us equally, he is still not a supporter of laziness. However, many believers take so many things for granted, including the grace and favour of God. While so many things can come to you without sweat or effort, you still need to be diligent in your work and stop lazying around.

How then can you Curb Laziness as a Believer?

1. Avoid Procrastination

Procrastination is a thief of time. In reality, procrastination is a thief of life. There is a popular quote by Pablo Picasso which says “only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone”

2. Reduce Your Sleep

Too much sleep (Proverbs 6:9)

3. Don't Stay Idle

Staying idle for long will mentally degrade you. This in return makes you lazy to do the things you used to do. Also, you must learn that the idle hand is indeed the devil’s workshop

4. Restrict the Help You Get

When you always have someone around to help you do things, it sometimes rubs off on you and causes you to be lazy.

5. Seize Opportunities
It may first seem difficult but you have to gradually learn to pick up privileges and opportunities instead of letting them slide. The opposite of poverty is privilege and you must be able to seize every privilege to your advantage.

Conclusion

For one, God must find you doing something before He can bless you. Zero multiplied by 10 will still equal Zero. A hand that does not work cannot be blessed. This is why it is important that you make up your mind to work hard.  If you forsake laziness today, and embrace diligence, one thing is sure - when God says it’s your time, even your clock will work without batteries.
