Understanding Power and Authority as a Believer

The very first day you give your life to Christ, you are in a position of authority by default. This means that to have authority, you only need to believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God who came to die for the sins of the world. On the other hand, power comes with command. This is why many believers are in authority but power is absent. Don't get it wrong - you can't truly have authority without power, but you can have power without authority.

Our believe in Jesus is what gives us the authority to command power and see it work. Authority legitimizes your power and command. This also means that you can only truly issue a command when you're in authority

Conclusion

True authority and power works hand in hand. It will be a disaster for a believer to have power without author authority without power
