Kingdom Seekers Matthew 6:33, Romans 8:35, Mark 10:29-30 (leave your father for the gospel) 1st Kings 3:3-13 (Solomon sought the Lord above all things) Psalm 37:25 - I've not seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread Luke 12:30-32 Introduction God is calling every believer to a life that seeks His kingdom. Man was never designed to chase after anything else outside God. We were simply meant to chase after God alone. For an illustration, no hand of the clock would ever meet itself on the same spot. In the same way, everything we need is already in God so no matter how far we try to chase after wealth, love, friendships etc, we can never really chase far outside God. There are three major reasons why people refuse to be Kingdom seekers 1. Pride - Many people think that they have it all and seeking God's kingdom is irrelevant. 2. Fear of the Unknown. Some other people are scared about the future if they take this risk on God. This message is an assurance that God has got you covered and you're safe if you seek His kingdom. 3. Others wait for a problem to come their way before they seek after God. These are the third category of people who refuse to be kingdom seekers. 1. Put God first - Psalm 23:1 Conclusion God promises to protect you from other things in life that can make you nervous or fearful if you spend your time and energy aligning yourself with what He is doing to advance His kingdom on earth. When Jesus said, "Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will take care of itself", He absolutely meant it.
