*MORNING DEVOTION* *THURSDAY, 12TH OCTOBER, 2023.* *QUARTERLY THEME: IN THE DAYS OF HIS POWER* *MONTHLY THEME: PEACE, BE STILL* *WORSHIP LEADER:* SIS. MODUPE OYEDELE *PRAYER LEADER:* SIS. EUNICE ODELANA (ASSISTANT PRAYER SECRETARY TRANSCO PHASE 2022/2023) *MINISTER:* SIS. ENIOLA MUDASIRU (ASSISTANT DRAMA DIRECTOR) *TOPIC:* FAITH OVER FEAR *TEXTS:* HEBREWS 4:16, MARK 5:25-34, MATTHEW 28:18. *MESSAGE* Fear is a situation that makes one uncertain and uncomfortable. It is relative and comes in different forms for different people. There's a level of faith one can attain and just like David, we begin to see Goliath as a piece of paper but this can only be possible when we activate our relationship with Jesus (HEBREWS 4:16). We must understand and believe as children of God that He who is with us is far greater than whatever or whoever is against us so we must take the bold step of putting our faith to work and those mountains will begin to move out of our lives no matter how long they have stayed (Mark 5:25-34). A warrior that does not know what he carries can get injured on the battle ground. We must understand that we are the light of the world and so we must shine in the midst of the darkness around us no matter how gross it may be because we are not fighting for victory that Christ has won already but we are fighting from victory (1Corinthans 15:55). The battle is not ours to fight but God's yet we need faith as our weapon. All that faith requires us to do is to hold on to the promises of God like Abraham who launched out in faith based on what God told Him. When you pray and do not receive answer, pray again and this time around: 1. Pray with faith. 2. Respect and believe the promises of God to you. 3. Put your faith to work by taking action. *Prayer Point* Lord give me the grace to overcome my fears and put my faith to work. *God bless you!*
