Do You Know the King?

King of the Jews — not Pilate alone

For when He was questioned, His Kingship was known.

The people cried out with a voice bold and free,

“Hail the King of Israel! Let the whole world see!”

His entry was humble, yet oh so grand,

Riding a colt, not with sword in hand.

Yet garments were laid where His feet would go,

And leafy branches lined the road below.

Old and young, both great and small,

Watched in awe and gave Him their all.

He stood at the center, their hearts He drew near,

As praises resounded from far and near.

It felt like creation already knew —

That this was the day when all would bow too.

His power compelling, creation obeyed,

Every form, every soul, in reverence stayed.

And those who sought to silence His name

Could only watch — their hearts aflame.

For still they chanted with every breath,

“Blessed is He who comes,” they said,

“In the name of the Lord, Hail the King!”

Let every voice rise, let every heart sing.

Even the blind could no longer deny,

And asked with wonder, “Who passes by?”

The answer echoed through every street:

“Jesus, the Prophet from Galilee’s heat.”

And still today, He reigns on high,

The King of Kings, no soul can deny.

But as the crowd once lifted His fame —

Will you now rise and call His name?

Do you know Him — the King?
