Gen Zs, there will be Signs, and the realities of Mark 16:17-18

I was randomly thinking about the possibility of different Bible verses translated in Gen Z language

combines Nigerian creativity with biblical principles, focusing on the theme "There Will Be Signs" (Mark 16:17-18).

"Signs and Wonders: Unpacking the Manifestation of Faith in the Lives of Gen Z Christians"*

What's good, fam? As a Gen Z Christian, you're probably familiar with the vibe of living out your faith in a world that's constantly changing. But have you ever stopped to think about the signs that follow those who believe? In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus says, "And these signs will accompany those who believe...they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." So, what signs are manifesting in the lives of Gen Z Christians today? *The Signs of Faith* Hey, let's get real for a second. As a Gen Z Christian, your faith shouldn't just be about Sunday service or Bible study. It should be about living out your beliefs in every aspect of your life. So, what signs are you manifesting? Are you seeing people get saved, healed, or delivered through your witness? Are you experiencing supernatural guidance or protection in your daily life? *Signs of Courage* One of the signs that follow those who believe is courage. In a world that's often hostile to Christianity, it takes guts to stand up for what's right. But Jesus says, "Be brave, and I will be with you" (Matthew 28:20). So, are you boldly sharing your faith with others, or are you playing it safe? Are you standing up for justice and righteousness, even when it's unpopular? *Signs of Love* Another sign that follows those who believe is love. Jesus says, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:35). So, how are you demonstrating love to those around you? Are you serving the poor, visiting the sick, or advocating for the marginalized? Are you loving your neighbors, even when they're difficult to love? *Signs of Power* The Bible also talks about signs of power, like healing and miracles. In Mark 16:18, Jesus says, "They will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." So, are you praying for the sick and seeing them get healed? Are you believing God for miracles and wonders in your life and in the lives of others? *Signs of Wisdom* As a Gen Z Christian, you're also called to manifest signs of wisdom. In James 3:17, we're told that wisdom from above is "first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." So, how are you demonstrating wisdom in your relationships, decisions, and actions? *Signs of Authenticity* Finally, the signs that follow those who believe should be authentic and genuine. In a world that's full of fakes and phonies, it's refreshing to see Christians who are real and true to their word. So, are you being authentic in your faith, or are you pretending to be someone you're not? *Conclusion* In conclusion, the signs that follow those who believe are real and relevant today. As a Gen Z Christian, you're called to manifest signs of courage, love, power, wisdom, and authenticity. So, what signs are you manifesting? Are you seeing people get saved, healed, or delivered through your witness? Let's keep believing God for signs and wonders, and let's keep living out our faith with boldness and authenticity.
