On this day in Christian History, Dorothy Ann Thrupp was born in London. In her lifetime, she was a hymn writer best known for "Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us." Many of her hymns were published anonymously in collections for children.

On this day in Christian History, Dennis Anthony Dillon was born. He is an American minister, journalist, publisher, and community activist. He founded The New York Christian Times and serves as the lead pastor at Brooklyn's Rise Church New York.
