J. Roswell and Alice Flower published the first issue of The Christian Evangel, which later became the Pentecostal Evangel, a significant publication in the Pentecostal movement.

19th July, 1914

On this day in Christian History, Vernon Carl Grounds, an American theologian and educator was born. Grounds served as president and later chancellor of Denver Seminary. He was influential in the development of American evangelicalism and authored several books on Christian faith and social responsibility.
