In Church or Doing Church?

How on earth did we get here?

What exactly are we doing?

What doctrine again do we say we believe?

On what foundation is our Church built?

I am wowed at what evil I saw today.

We claim to belong to a Church that is actually a branded society of our indigenous culture.

We claim to belong to a family that is an extension of our nightmares.

Let's question our background for a bit:

The Church you claim to belong you,

How did it start?

What Scripture, not revelation alone, started it?

What sacrifices of the founder birthed it?

Fine, vex at me, but answer these questions first:

How much of Jesus have you become since you joined?

How many of your principles have broken in the last five months?

What sermons have changed your entire life?

What encounter by just listening have you experienced?

You claim to have a mentor but you have become more stubborn.

You claim to be a believer, but your curses are more real to you than the Abrahamic blessings.

You claim to be devout in a Church that constantly reminds you of your past,

Rather than make your part in the Kingdom a reality in your stuffed mind.

For how long will you live a lie?

For how long will you stay rejected?

You know that every Sunday expands the void in your soul,

Yet you stay because "I also have a Church" is your only sense of belonging.

May I challenge you?

You are God's child.

It is only what is best for you that is God's concern.

Have a sincere moment with God,

Pouring everything you've bottled up,

Including your doubts about your pastor.

Wait for a response - a scripture and a proof.

Jump at the next move.

Don't re-strategize; don't discuss with a friend.

In short, LEAVE HARAN AND GO TO THE PLACE HE WILL SHOW YOU.

You never can tell how much of yourself you've lost, if you don't step out.

Selah!
