Nigerian innovator Dara Sobaloju is shaking things up with his new launch

PewBeam AI. This tool might just change the way churches do presentations forever.

Based in Ibadan, Nigeria, Dara’s background as a product designer and technologist really shows in PewBeam AI. He rolled it out in March 2026, and it’s not your average presentation software. It's built for live preaching—think pastors, sermons, Sunday mornings. The magic is in speed: the software grabs the essence of a sermon and flashes the right Bible verses on the screen almost instantly, taking less than a tenth of a second.

The whole thing started pretty casually. In August 2025, Dara posted on Twitter about wanting to create an "AI agent for church Bible presentations." It began as an experiment. But people got excited, and within half a year, that idea turned into a fully working product.

Anyone who’s spent time in church knows the usual routine with media teams scrambling to keep up, and trying to show the right verses at the right moment. It’s messy. Sometimes the scripture on the screen lags behind the preacher, and people get confused. PewBeam wipes out that hassle. The verses appear right in sync with the preaching, seamless and automatic.

Churches have already been trying it out, and folks are calling it a game-changer. It makes sermons more interactive; everyone can follow along, jot down notes, and really absorb what’s being shared.

Accessibility was a big deal for Dara. Right now, PewBeam is a desktop app available for both Windows and Mac. There’s even a free version for small churches and fellowships, and the paid plans are priced depending on where you’re located—which keeps it fair no matter your country.

But Dara’s not stopping with just scripture projection. The plan is to add slide presentation features, pushing PewBeam closer to becoming a full church presentation suite. He’s serious about making sure faith communities aren’t left behind as AI keeps advancing, and he’s putting the user experience front and center. The software is meant to fit the pastor, not force pastors to fit the tech.

Dara’s got a track record in this space—he’s already made popular digital tools and Figma plugins used by thousands. Those skills show in PewBeam, and the early demos splashed across social media prove its strength: the AI picks up sermon context and shows verses instantly, no humans needed to jump in.

As churches everywhere look for more digital ways to connect and teach, PewBeam isn’t about replacing the people—it’s about enhancing the worship experience. With this launch, Dara Sobaloju is making a bold mark on faith-tech, and he’s opening up new possibilities for how sermons are taught, experienced, and remembered.
