Popular Gospel Evangelist and Mount Zion filmmaker, Evangelist Damilola Mike Bamiloye has officially announced the premiere of Season 6 of the Gospel Series, Abattoir.
Confirming that the entire production is complete, the announcement has built up an increased anticipation for the next chapter of the viral gospel series
The announcement came through a recent Instagram post where Bamiloye shared behind-the-scenes footage from the set, confirming that filming for the season had wrapped. The post has already generated buzz among fans of the series, who have been waiting since late 2025 for updates on the next installment.
“Producer of Abattoir Series, Damilola Mike-Bamiloye has released some behind-the-scenes shots signalling the end of shooting of the season,” the caption read, according to clips shared by Mount Zion’s official channels.
Season 6 continues the story that made Abattoir one of Nigeria’s most-watched gospel web series. The series, which premiered on July 5, 2020, follows Martins, a young teacher grappling with his traumatic past and a father linked to an underworld cult. The show blends spiritual warfare themes with crime drama and has consistently pulled millions of views per episode.
Created and directed by Damilola Mike Bamiloye, the son of Mount Zion founders Evangelist Mike and Gloria Bamiloye, Abattoir is credited with revitalizing and defining a new generation of Christian filmmaking in Nigeria. The series introduced high-quality visuals, modern storytelling, and professional editing to the gospel film space, setting a new standard for faith-based content on YouTube.
Season 1-5 are still available on the Mount Zion Studio YouTube channel, with Season 5 concluding in 2024. The show has also been a launching pad for actors like Kayode Owojori, Late Moses Korede Are, Kayode Babalola, and the late Toluwalope Adegboyega-Alagbe, who played Flora before passing in February 2025.
The official premiere date for Season 6 is 5th June, 2026. However, fans expect the official trailer and release date to drop afterwards on YouTube within weeks. As with previous seasons, all episodes in this season are expected to stream free on YouTube, consistent with Mount Zion’s distribution model.
Damilola Mike Bamiloye is also known for other Mount Zion titles including The Train: The Journey of Faith, Enoch, and Heart Pain, which he directed and produced. 1132
