Tsion Academy, a pioneering provider of free and quality education in Nigeria, has been officially admitted as a member of the Global Schools Forum (GSF), a collaborative community of over 200 non-state education organisations spanning 70+ countries.
The Global Schools Forum brings together some of the most impactful, innovative, and equity-driven organisations dedicated to improving education at scale for underserved communities. GSF currently comprises over 180 schools, networks, education support organisations, innovators, entrepreneurs and finders across 70 countries, impacting 135m children across 1.38m schools. The network also fosters connections, shared learning, and strategic policy engagement to expand access to high-quality, affordable education, particularly for children in low-income settings.
Speaking on the membership, the founder of Tsion Academy Adeola Nelson Della confirmed that: “joining the Global Schools Forum is a significant milestone for us. It affirms our belief that free, quality education is achievable when a community rallies together. We are excited to learn from, and contribute to a global community committed to transforming education for the most vulnerable children.”
Over the past year, Tsion Academy has expanded its frontiers with the launch of its second free schooling facility in Ile-Ife, which commenced academic activities on April 28, 2025. Under Della’s leadership, the Academy has distinguished itself as a centre for academic brilliance and holistic development, nurturing children intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The school’s model also includes a Big Sister/Brother Initiative, as well as an Education Fund Bank designed to sponsor out-of-school children in low-income communities.
“We remain committed to serving with excellence and integrity,” Della added. “And this partnership with GSF will help us scale innovation, access global best practices, and amplify our impact as we work hand-in-hand with parents, guardians, and the wider community to shape future leaders.”
By becoming a member of GSF, Tsion Academy gains access to a supportive network that creates learning and networking opportunities, scales innovation through funding and coaching, and generates evidence of what works in education. The move aligns with GSF’s vision that all children can realise their potential through safe access to quality education.
Tsion Academy is a Nigerian non-state education provider offering free, quality schooling to children in underserved communities. Founded on the principle that “it takes a village to raise a child,” the Academy focuses on academic excellence, character development, and holistic growth. Its second facility in Ile-Ife continues its mission to make quality education accessible to more families.
