The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, has launched the maiden edition of the DKO Yaba Sports Festival, bringing together hundreds of residents in Yaba, Lagos, for a day of sports, recreation and community engagement.
Held at the historic Evans Square in Yaba, the festival attracted participants from different age groups, transforming the venue into a vibrant centre of sporting activities, fellowship and community interaction.
According to the organisers, the initiative was inspired by Dr. Olukoya as part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and its host community while promoting healthy living, talent discovery and social cohesion.
The event featured a variety of sporting activities, with the football competition emerging as one of the major highlights as young athletes showcased their skills, passion and competitive spirit before an enthusiastic audience.
Organisers said the festival was designed to provide a platform where both young and old could participate in recreational activities, foster stronger community bonds and encourage positive engagement among residents.
