Minister Glory Amanyi Achanya (Glowrie) is a Nigerian Gospel Music and Recording Artist

Glowrie, born Amanyi Glory Ochanya, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and vocal coach best known as a Season 2 semi-finalist on The Voice Nigeria (on Team Waje) and as the younger sister of secular musician Terry G. She has released a steady catalog of gospel singles since 2019 and continues collaborating with artists like Mercy Chinwo and Joe Mettle into 2025.

Early Life & Education

Glowrie was born in Lagos, Nigeria, into a musical family. Her mother was a choir mistress at a Redeemed Christian Church of God parish, and music ran through her siblings as well. She attended Starfield Nursery & Primary School before Federal Government Girls' College, Sagamu (2002–2008), where she was already active in school music. She went on to study International Relations at Houdegbe North American University in the Benin Republic, graduating with a second-class upper degree.

Family

Glowrie is a younger sister of Gabriel Oche Amanyi, the singer and producer known professionally as Terry G. She has spoken about deliberately keeping distance from that connection publicly, wanting her own gospel music to be judged on its own terms rather than through her brother's fame. Another sibling, Victoria Amanyi, is also a singer.

Music Career

Minister Glowrie plays acoustic guitar and got an early boost performing as lead guitarist in an all-female band led by Topsticks around 2009. She rose to wider attention as a semi-finalist on The Voice Nigeria Season 2 (2017), competing on Team Waje before elimination at the semi-final stage.

Her recording career includes the singles "Glory" (2019), "Before the Altar" (2019), and "Adanimagbagbe" (2020, with an official music video). She has worked alongside Mercy Chinwo and Eben, and has shared a stage with American gospel artist Phil Thompson. More recent credits (into 2025) include "Right Where You Are (Live)," "I Lay My Crowns (Live)" featuring Joe Mettle, "Able (Live)," and features on other artists' tracks, including Mercy Chinwo's "Onyedikagi" and songs by Mayor of Jos and Kingsley Udofa.

She is also active as a vocal coach and describes herself as bilingual in French and English.
