Gospel Actor Isaac Femi-Akintunde Becomes Full Pastor in RCCG

Veteran gospel actor and Mount Zion Faith Ministries member, Evangelist Isaac Femi-Akintunde, has taken a new step in his ministerial journey after becoming a full pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Femi-Akintunde, who is widely recognised for his contributions to Christian drama and film ministry, shared his experience of the new ministerial responsibility, describing it as an experience accompanied by what he called a “fresh anointing.”

The development marks another dimension of service for the veteran drama minister, who has spent decades using Christian drama and film as a platform for evangelism.

According to his biography on Mount Zion Film Productions, Femi-Akintunde is an actor, scriptwriter, film director and evangelist who has featured in numerous Mount Zion productions. His journey with Mount Zion Faith Ministries dates back to the 1990s. In an earlier interview, Femi-Akintunde explained that he attended the Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama in 1997 and became a full member of the ministry in 1998, after which he continued serving in Christian drama ministry.

His work has also been recognised beyond the Christian film community. A scholarly study of Nigerian evangelical films identified Femi-Akintunde as one of the Mount Zion ministers who view drama primarily as a means of ministering the gospel rather than simply entertainment.
