The Founder and Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, Matthew Ashimolowo, has challenged leaders to embrace sacrificial leadership by prioritising God’s kingdom above personal comfort and material possessions.
Ashimolowo made the call during a visit to the newly dedicated Dreamland Complex at Master’s City in Warri, Delta State, where he praised the founder of The Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, for his unwavering commitment to advancing God’s work.
According to the cleric, today’s leaders must be spiritually grounded, mentally alert, emotionally stable, and financially responsible, adding that genuine leadership is demonstrated through selfless service rather than personal luxury.
Commending Pastor Komaiya’s investment in the expansive Dreamland Complex, Ashimolowo noted that many people would have chosen to build lavish private homes instead of dedicating such resources to ministry.
He said the project reflected a “kingdom-first” mindset, stressing that a leader’s priorities inspire the commitment of those they lead.
“Kingdom-mindedness is not common in this generation, especially among founders. If you cannot invest in your own ministry, how do you expect your members to invest? People are watching your priorities and your commitment,” he said.
Reflecting on his first encounter with photographs of the completed facility, Pastor Ashimolowo said he was deeply moved by the scale and quality of the development, describing it as a remarkable testament to dedication and vision.

The newly commissioned Dreamland Complex, located along KM 3 Refinery Road in Warri, features two four-storey buildings equipped with elevators, a central heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, and a modern auditorium built to international standards.
