RCCG-Owned Redeemer’s University Students Shine in 2026 ICAN Exams

Students of Redeemer’s University, the university established by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), have demonstrated academic excellence after eight Accounting students successfully passed the May 2026 qualifying examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

The achievement was announced by the university on its official Facebook page, with the institution celebrating the students for their outstanding performance in the professional examination.

The successful candidates cut across the 200, 300 and 400 levels of the Department of Accounting, highlighting the strong performance of students at different stages of their undergraduate studies.

They are:

  • Daramola Mary, 200 Level;
  • Adekanla Ayomide, 300 Level;
  • Ojedele David Olatomiwa, 300 Level;
  • Odeyemi Moyinoluwa Elizabeth, 400 Level;
  • Ijiola Olatomiwa Feyisola, 400 Level;
  • Oyelayo Goodness Oyedamola, 400 Level;
  • Taiwo Tomilola, 400 Level; and
  • Medal Praise Olabisi, 400 Level.

According to the Department of Accounting, all eight students who sat for the examination successfully passed the May diet.

The feat has been described as another indication of the academic standards and professional orientation being cultivated at Redeemer’s University, particularly in the field of accounting.

The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, commended the students, noting that their performance further strengthens the institution’s reputation for producing future professionals.

“The results further reinforce Redeemer’s University’s standing as a formidable nurturing ground for future chartered accountants in Nigeria,” Akindele said.

Also speaking on the achievement, the Programme Coordinator of the Department of Accounting, Dr (Mrs) Temitope Worimegbe, appreciated the university management for its continued support for ICAN-related academic initiatives.

She attributed the students’ success to their dedication, hard work and the university’s commitment to professional excellence.

“Hearty congratulations to all our students for their success in the May diet examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Of course, you have made the centre, department and university proud! Keep soaring higher. Congratulations!” she said.

The latest achievement adds to Redeemer’s University’s record of encouraging students to combine university education with professional qualifications, providing them with opportunities to develop expertise beyond the classroom.
