Why Should I get Saved?

Imagine that you went out to a sea picnic with some friends and in the peak of the fun, you suddenly begin to drown. Your life jacket keeps you afloat but it seems the waves are deeply blowing against you. Then you see someone who is more than willing to help you get out and yet you ask yourself ''Why should I get saved?"

This is an imagery that does not accurately depict the level of mess that an unbeliever finds himself in everyday. As humans,  we totally need God's help to enable us live properly and we cannot get the help we need until we come to Jesus. There are many reasons why we need Jesus to fully lord our lives. It is far from material benefits (although they come along in the salvation package), so what's more? Here are a few reasons why you need Jesus Christ

First, you must acknowledge that you have a past. In that past, so many things have happened and you definitely can't go back. However, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and He can walk into your past - to those places of sin and failure, to wipe the slate clean and give you  a new beginning. Also, you need a friend to walk you through your current situation. It may not be rosy but then Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. This is because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when he is through with you. Jesus also holds tomorrow and the entirety of your future just like God's words affirm in Jeremiah 29:11. In His hands you are safe and secure today, tomorrow and forever.

Now, who else are you going to trust?

If you were convinced to make friends with Jesus and would you like to receive Him today and begin a personal relationship with Him, please pray the following prayer.

Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned, and I acknowledge today that you died for my sins on the cross of Calvary. Lord Jesus I ask today that you forgive me my sins, cleanse me and make me whole. I accept you as my lord and personal savior today. Amen

If you said that prayer, congratulations because old things have passed away and all things have become new (2nd Corinthians 5:17). We will like to talk with you and pray with you, so please send us a message here after you pray this prayer of salvation.

Now that you have received Jesus Christ what is next?

First, you need to find a bible believing church to help you grow in the faith. we have a church website directory where you can visit church  websites and locate one close to you. You also need to learn how to have a daily quiet time with God and learn how to build a strong relationship with God.

Be aware that temptation will come from the devil to make you turn away from God. You can learn to overcome temptations here too.
